Rebel of the Keys charts the life and times of Warsaw Ghetto survivor André Tchaikowsky, a renowned pianist, composer and ‘enfant-terrible’. His story is interwoven with the modern day journey of bringing his opera ‘The Merchant of Venice’ to the world stage, some 30 years after his death.
The film was selected for The Open City Documentary Festival 2017, The Warsaw Jewish Film Festival, DOCfeed 2018 and The American Dcoumentary Film Festival 2018. It has also screened in venues including The Warsaw Philharmonic, JW3, Chapter Cinema Cardiff, The Rialto Cinema Auckland and at Pontio as part of an event run by Bafta Cymru.
